AI, Humans and Feelings

Day in and day out, we are getting the news of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and its avatars. Started with ChatGPT and going on and on. Predictions are that these technologies are almost going to replace humans in every field. We all must have seen the many times forwarded list of “many jobs to be replaced by AI”, getting redundant and very few which won’t. The former one is a big one though.

Now my HUMAN mind which so far used to think of ‘A’ and ‘I’ as just vowels, generated a lot many questions, may be silly, important but necessary ones, I don’t know.

Would these AI robots, machines when meet at workplace will smile wishing and bitch as soon as they part with each other? Would the feminine machines (don’t know whether there will be genders) laugh at other machine on their style and fashion? Would they just work on the shop floor without gossiping about the boss (again if there will be any hierarchy at all) or crib about the low hike they received in their appraisal?

Would these machines talk to each other about their lives, support mentally or otherwise when needed? If any of the machines get damaged and have to replace, any kind of send-off given to the one which is departing?

Just imagining and curious about how the things will turn out? Recently read that soon these machines will be sentient, but can it ever come near to actual human and whether any of those ever think to write about humans and try to post it on any social media, like this.

We will see.
