“I Swear”, this is the word, I would like to ban from the general use.
Whenever someone says “I Swear”, giving an assurance, it doesn’t feel that way.
It’s getting used after every sentence literally.
The trust, the belief and the authenticity of someone talking, shouldn’t be backed up by this word.
This word tells us that the other person doesn’t have the trust and saying “I Swear” is a stamp of how trustworthy he/she is.
The irritation is not about usage of this word, but the usage of this word after every sentence. It is like a punctuation mark, which is a must to come after every sentence.
It is general tendency that once we start using anything regularly, the importance of that gets reducing over the period.
Exactly same is happening with “I Swear”.
Long back, it was very rare to use this word. It gets used for the decisions of life and death.
But now, it became so blunt that there is no value to it.
So, if allowed, I swear, I will ban this word.
