Cherishing High School Friendships

Daily writing prompt
Describe something you learned in high school.

High schools are meant for learning. In those days, the innocence we had earlier start receding.

We come to know good, bad, friends. We start getting a little bit happiness, enjoyment apart from family members.

I can say, high school life is the start of our life as an adult.

We learn many things there. But the most important and I think I am lucky for it is FRIENDS.

I learnt in big way how friendship is important.

It shows us that we can rely on someone, we can trust blindly, who are not family or in blood relations.

That feeling of getting bore, if that particular friend hasn’t turned to school.

Either male/female friend, the friendship in high school, it is still far away from that “attraction” we feel in our adulthood.

It is just plain, pure feeling of friendship.

I feel myself lucky that I am still in touch of those guys, with whom I used to sit from Kindergarten to highschool.

We meet mostly whenever I go to my native.

And once in a year, especially Diwali festival, all our group meets for a get together.

So, one of the best learnings I carry from my high school is Friendship.

  1. Friendships are no more the same.
Everyone’s busy now! (And I don’t complaint. Getting employed is the need now for people in 20s or mid 30s.)
